Summary:
UNMH Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Consult Team. Will be providing initial evaluations for neurosurgical patients in the Emergency Department and inpatient teams. Engage in team collaboration and activation of resources for the neurosurgical patient. Managing and facilitating care 24/7. This dynamic team supports an expanding and exciting neurosurgical field. Experienced APPs or ICU critical care backgrounds preferred. Sign on bonus available to external applicants. Relocation reimbursement available to out of state applicants. Function in a specialized area of advance practice in the role of practitioner, mentor, consultant, educator, researcher and manager. Establish goals and priorities in accordance with patient and staff needs and organizational objectives. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. Patient care assignment may include neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups. Accountability:
PATIENT CARE - Assess, diagnose and develop treatment plans; implement treatment, follow-up and evaluate patient within the scope of practice protocols as outlined by state statute PATIENT CARE - Perform patient history and physical exams as needed for procedures or admissions; document findings noting pertinent normal and abnormal findings PATIENT CARE - Complete admitting orders, daily rounds and orders, consultations with nurses, specialist and ancillary staEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
